Jessica was a high school student, concerned about how she was going to finance her education. She'd heard of certain scholarships and grants that her friends were obtaining but, lacked the ability to find such information for herself. Part of the reason was her inexperience in dealing with financial aid and the other was her busy schedule. As a student and an athlete who worked three jobs, Jessica just didn't have the time to do extensive research. As you can see, Jessica was very motivated to succeed and contacted a NYFF representative to assist her in areas she did not understand completely.
When contacted by the NYFF representative, Jessica explained that she wanted to become a paramedic. The NYFF representative wrote her information down and researched what it would take for Jessica to finance her education. On their next meeting, it was discovered that Jessica could not only finance her education but, be allowed to pursue it for free with grant and scholarship assistance.
